This course was created by Tara Pauliny. Dr. Pauliny earned her PhD in rhetoric and composition/English from the Ohio State University in 2002. She has served as a faculty member and writing program administrator at a number of academic institutions and, at the time she created this course, was a tenured associate professor in English at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and an affiliated faculty with CUNY’s School of Professional Studies. She teaches courses in writing, rhetoric, and gender studies; she publishes work on rhetorics of the body, the politics of writing program administration, and queer rhetorics. Her scholarship has appeared in PresentTense, The Writing Instructor, Research for Drama in Education, Enculturation, and the Journal of Homosexuality. In 2016 she published Neoliberal Rhetorics and Body Politics: Plastinate Exhibits as Infiltration with Lexington Books/Rowman and Littlefield.
This course was originally developed as a CUNY School of Professional Studies Zero-Textbook Cost (ZTC) course. All course materials are provided free of charge through this site or the library.
